Terms of service
Short version: I draw what we agreed, you pay what we agreed, neither of us hands the result to a company. The detail exists so nothing is ambiguous when something goes wrong.
Payment
Split in half — first payment after sketch approval, second before final delivery. SEPA transfer or Wise, in euro. Conversion and transfer fees are on the sender.
No work starts before the first payment clears. Watermarked previews until the second one does.
Revisions
Two rounds of changes are included at sketch stage. After lines are committed: colour adjustments, marking placement, minor proportion fixes.
Changing pose, composition or character after line stage restarts from sketch and is billed at sixty percent of the original rate.
Cancellation
- Before sketch — full refund
- After sketch, before lines — half the first payment retained
- After lines — first payment retained, second not charged
If I cancel for any reason you get everything back regardless of stage, plus whatever exists as a working file.
Usage rights
You get the finished artwork for personal use: avatars, banners, printing for yourself, posting anywhere with credit.
I keep the right to show the piece in my portfolio. If a commission is private, say so before we start — it will not be posted, no surcharge.
Commercial use — merchandise, covers, anything sold — is a separate licence negotiated per case.
Training machine learning models on the artwork is not permitted under any licence. This covers delivered files, working files and anything posted publicly.
Timeline
Two to four weeks depending on queue and complexity. If I fall behind by more than a week I will say so rather than go quiet. If you have heard nothing for ten days, assume something broke and poke me.
Character ownership
You must own the character or have the owner’s permission. If a dispute arises after delivery that is between you and them; the artwork stays as commissioned.
Declined work
NSFW, hate symbols, real people, minors in any suggestive context, and fan art of properties whose rights holders actively pursue it. Always declined before payment, never after.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, write to me before anything else. Almost every problem I have had with a commission came from a scope assumption neither side stated out loud, and almost all of them were fixable in one message.
